CAHSEE

So this week, we had the CAHSEE, which is short for California High School Exit Exam. Only the sophmores take it, well, you first take it your sophmore year. If you don't pass it then, you take it the following year. But I dont think anyone would fail this. Some people were telling us that if you fail the CAHSEE, then you are extremely stupid. Well, it was basically like insulting us high schoolers. I mean, the questions were basically like middle school stuff. But I guess if passing that will mean I'm going to get to graduate high school, then I'm all up for it.

There were two days of it, Tuesday, and Wednesday. We were assigned to a certain class to take the CAHSEE. I was in Mr. Joo, my chemistry teacher's, class. On Tuesday, we were in that class for about 4 and 1/2 hours. We were in there for 1st, 2nd, and 5th periods. On Wednesday, we were in there for only two periods, 3rd and 4th period. Tuesday, we took the first part of the test, which was English. It was pretty easy, but there were too much to read. I didnt really read the stories or anything, really. I did kinda scan through it. But first, I read the questions, then looked for the answer. The essay was pretty easy too. Since we had 4 1/2 hours, and we were done in about 2 hours, so we got free time, I guess.

On Wednesday, it was math. I was more confident in this test more than I was in English. Mostly because I am way better in math than I was in english. It was really really easy too, it was mostly stuff I learned in 8th grade Algebra 1. After I finished my test, I stared doing my homewroks that I was missing. Then I tried reading my book for English. After a while, I got bored, so I started listening to my ipod. After everyone was done, we got to walk around and talk to people.

On Thursday, When I was in history, when someone came in and gave Ms. Casper a pass. It was meant for me. I had sophmore counseling. I couldnt go during her class because we were doing work or something "important." So during, English, I went to the counselor's office. I had to wait around for a bit. After I got in, Ms. Loy started talking to me about my grades, and how I need to get them up. She asked me about the classes I need to retake and the classes I could take next year.
Friday, today, It was really hot. And most people were wearing shorts or dresses. Classes went by kinda quickly. We did TED Friday in English. It was about how playing more video games actually helps you. It was quite amazing, & unbelievable at the same time. I didn't really understand how that can be so, but I will go along with it.

Tonight, I am going to go see Peter Pan at alameda high. So, I might blog about that next week. I'm not sure yet. good bye now.
